Jerky Dog Treats

The house line makes no jerky; for a meat first treat from Sniff and Shift, freeze dried beef heart, from Pennsylvania farms, is the nearest option.

Jerky comes as strips, sticks, chips and thick cuts, and the shape tells you how it will be used. Strips tear into training pieces, sticks work as a short chew and chips suit small mouths. Try the bend test on a piece, if you can: jerky that bends is softer and goes quickly, while jerky that snaps is drier and lasts longer. Choose by protein and by pack weight. Slower, firmer pieces dried with low heat are collected in dehydrated dog treats.
