Treat Pouches and Dispensers

Light freeze dried treats such as the cheddar and beef heart from Sniff and Shift, made in small batches in Malvern, Pennsylvania, are the kind that travel in a pouch.

Treat pouches come in three common styles: clips for a waistband, belts worn at the waist, and pouches that attach to a bag or a leash. A few features separate them. Check for an opening you can work with one hand, because the other hand usually holds the leash. Check that the mouth is wide enough for the treat you use, and look for a care note on washing, since soft treats leave a residue inside. When this grid is short, the treats that go into a pouch are in dog training treats.
